Chicago Recording Company Goes Facility Wide With SurCode
 June 8th, 2009 — Minnetonka Audio Software announced today that Chicago Recording Company is the newest facility to adopt Minnetonka's SurCode for Dolby© Pro Logic II and SurCode for Dolby© E into their legendary multi-room facility.
The Chicago Recording Company, a landmark for recording in the Chicago area for the past 33 years, added a full SurCode for Dolby E suite to one of their post rooms and the RTAS version of SurCode for Dolby Pro Logic II to nine of their audio post suites. Learn more…

Merging Technologies Adds SurCode for Dolby E
 Pyramix DAW Ready for Dolby E Workflow
Munich, Germany – May 8th, 2009 – Minnetonka Audio Software announces a new SurCode for Dolby E workstation platform with the addition of Pyramix, by Merging Technologies.
Using the VST flavor of SurCode for Dolby E, Pyramix workstation owners can now encode Dolby E files directly from a multi-channel project session. Pyramix owners can also decode a Dolby E file directly from the project timeline, or via a live AES/EBU input, providing the flexibility to work in a file-based or tape-based mode. “SurCode for Dolby E is the obvious choice for Pyramix users wishing to use or output Dolby E files,” says Claude Cellier, President of Merging Technologies. “We are confident this development will prove very popular with our broadcast customers.” Learn more…

SurCode™ Decoder for DTS-HD™ for QuickTime®
The SurCode Encoder for DTS-HD for Compressor is a professional audio encoder plug-in for Apple Compressor 3, capable of producing encoded streams directly from Apple Final Cut Studio and Logic Studio. The encoder plug-in can create a wide variety of .dtshd encode types, from lossless DTS-HD Master Audio™ found on hundreds of Blu-ray Disc titles, to lower bit rate DTS Express™, a widely used Bonus View and BD live codec. It can also encode DTS-HD High Resolution Audio™ and DTS Digital Surround® bitstreams at sample rates of 48 kHz and up to 6.1 channels.
The SurCode Decoder for DTS-HD for QuickTime offers QuickTime users the ability to playback DTS stream types for quality control and sync check prior to disc authoring. Learn more…
